Are you Ready to Bare your Arms and Legs?

Are You Ready to Bare Your Arms and Legs

When we start to bare our arms and legs, and our clothes become lighter and more close-fitting there can be that sense of panic. How have I gained all these extra pounds? What can I wear now to disguise these bulges? Well, do not despair there is still time to look younger, slimmer, and more glamorous this summer. I want to challenge you not to start a new fad diet but to change your lifestyle for good, which will change your health and your life and give you energy and vitality.

Diets do not work, and research suggests that diets are bad for our health, and I agree completely. If you are concerned about your weight, then please consider a lifestyle change.

What is the secret of a successful lifestyle change? It all starts with you and by this, I mean it starts with you really wanting not just to reduce your weight but to start thinking about looking after yourself and your health. Your health is your responsibility do not wait until you are ill, why not start today?

Let us start by looking at you and where you are at the moment. Are you serious about what and how you want to look and feel? GOOD. To begin we need to be honest and stop the mental subterfuge; if you are overweight admit it today and follow these steps to changing your lifestyle.

🫡 Step 1 - Acknowledge you are overweight and decide to change your lifestyle. There is no quick fix this is a journey toward a healthier, fitter, and slimmer you.

💆♀️ Step 2 – Decide you are worthy of the time and effort it will take to change. Many people who are overweight have emotional issues they need to address at the same time.

🚫 Step 3 – No more junk and processed food that is bad for health. I want you to think about everything that goes in your mouth and ask yourself is this food doing me good nutritionally?

🥅 Step 4 – For the next six weeks make your new lifestyle your priority – set yourself three goals write them down, be focused, and work toward them with determination. You can change!

🍺 Step 5 – No alcohol for at least seven days – it is a poison to the body and full of calories. You need to be in control of your body and mind and when we drink alcohol it dampens our senses and makes us more susceptible to eating the wrong things.

😌 Step 6 – Eat slowly and relax, enjoy your food, and be grateful, many people in the world are starving and have no choice about what they can eat. Never eat when you are angry or upset, we cannot digest food when we are stressed or tense. Watch your portion sizes – we all eat too much in the Western world.

💧 Step 7 - Drink plenty of water – 6 to 8 glasses every day. Most people in this country are dehydrated which reduces concentration and can often create confusion about feeling hungry when in fact we are thirsty.

🏃♀️ Step 8 – Exercise – You know by now I am passionate about exercise. We were born to move, and exercise gives us energy so move that body! You need to get that heart pumping for 30 minutes at least five times every week. Exercise is something you should do without question, like cleaning your teeth.

If you need support and motivation, I am only an email away. Prevention is better than cure so honour your body mind and spirit and start your healthy lifestyle today – you are worth it!

Live with Joy and Health 💚
